Mg/Cr-(COO)22- layered double hydroxide for malachite green removal

Mg/Cr layered double hydroxide (LDH) was prepared and modified using an intercalation of oxalate anions ((COO)22-) to form Mg/Cr-(COO)22. The materials were then investigated malachite green removal determine the adsorption ability. Furthermore, desorption process regeneration adsorbent systematically conducted. on Mg/Cr- LDH Mg/Cr-(COO)22- fitted pseudo-second-order (PSO) kinetic model Freundlich isotherm with capacity 33.784 mg/g (333K) for 64.516 Mg/Cr-(COO)22-. Thermodynamic data showed that spontaneous endothermic. Also, appropriate reagent study found as hydrochloric acid material studies exhibited a good recycling performance after 3 times cycles and, Mg/Cr-oxalate adsorption. It can be concluded Mg/Cr--(COO)22- adsorb dye stuffs effectively.
